The brief
Create a cinematic pitch trailer for LA CIMA that could present its story and visual world to production houses. The client’s direction called for a sober, high-tension political thriller, with a prison that felt raw, heavy and oppressive rather than futuristic.
The approach
Character design and environment structure came first, establishing the cast and the prison’s eight-level, U-shaped architecture around a central pyramid. This visual foundation was reviewed before trailer production began. Further development clarified the open upper structure, towers and industrial gates, helping the setting remain recognizable across different angles. The film’s lighting and restrained palette reinforced the weight of concrete and confinement.
